Our Commercial Bank is growing at a dynamic pace and offers a broad array of products and services, including but not limited to: Financing (Commercial Lending, Loan Syndications), Capital Markets (Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodity Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Investment Banking (including debt and equity capital markets), Institutional Sales & Trading, Equity Research), Treasury Management, and Wealth & Asset Management. Our services and specialties run the gamut including but not limited to Sponsors, Healthcare, Food/Beverage, Aerospace, Gaming and TMT. Summary: The Analyst in Loan Syndications will support the broader Loan Syndications team by playing an integral role in supporting debt financings for Sponsors, Food/Beverage, TMT, Healthcare, Aerospace/Defense, and Gaming customers. The individual will be responsible for providing industry and company-specific research, and assist in the preparation of financial models, deal related marketing materials, internal approvals memos and other analytics to support new business generation. We will develop skills through significant exposure to senior and mid-level bankers, as well as external clients, including corporate management teams, principals at financial sponsors, and members of the general investor community. Responsibilities: Creating and maintaining macro and industry data series (such as databases of comparable loans) and company-specific financial models Drafting industry, sector, and company reports and presentations for internal use and external client meetings Direct work with external clients on the preparation of bank books, lender presentations and rating agency materials Supporting deal execution during the syndications process by managing external client and investor requests, maintaining contact and questions lists, etc. Posting and distributing financial information/data relevant to existing transactions Actively participating in due diligence sessions Special projects to support new business generation Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree or military experience At least 1 year of commercial or investment banking experience Preferred Qualifications: At least 2+ years of banking experience, syndications or DCM experience High technological proficiency, including mastery of Excel, Word and PowerPoint Formal Credit Training SIE, Series 63 and 79 At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. #CapMkts The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. New York, NY: $110,000 - $130,000 for Analyst, Loan Syndications Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
