Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The Surface Radars & Sensors Center seeks talented Senior Systems Engineers focused on Integration and Test. Our Portsmouth, RI team primarily supports programs in the naval undersea and naval surface domains including sensor systems, mine countermeasures, submarines, torpedoes, combat systems, and ship architecture/integration. Our engineers perform underwater acoustics analysis and tracking, develop and manage system requirements, integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time, every time. What You Will Do Support planning and execution of integration, verification, or test activities. Perform integration, verification, and field qualification testing to ensure the system under test performs according to specifications/requirements. Perform data collection activities, including review and analysis of data elements, and provide detailed reports of results. Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders. Create/modify documentation in support of reviews associated with formal testing, which may include Test Readiness Review (TRR), Consent to Ship (CTS), and Test Data Review (TDR) packages. Perform simulation and performance analysis of one or more anti-air domains. Utilize high level programming languages such as MATLAB, Python or Java to execute systems engineering analysis. Test event support activity may require domestic travel which is not expected to exceed 15%. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. Experience with operational analysis, requirements analysis, and/or system performance measure of effectiveness analysis. Experience with Window, UNIX and/or Linux. Qualifications We Prefer Demonstrated analysis experience within Anti-Air Defense application or similar domains (air defense, threat identification & tracking, intercept of anti-ship missiles/threat aircraft, etc.). Demonstrated ability to statistically evaluate measure of performance. Modeling and analysis experience with air defense system (e.g. Aegis Weapon systems, Phalanx close-in Weapon Systems, Missile Control, Fire Control, etc.). Knowledge of performance capabilities of Enhanced SeaSparrow Missile and/or Standard Missile 2. Experience with developing, documenting, and maintaining processes, methods, and tools. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
