This position will perform complex technical fiscal analysis and financial reporting including analysis, planning, interpretation and review of fiscal operations in alignment with the CVM BFO best practices/processes. The successful candidate will perform financial reviews and analysis including accounting, auditing and budgeting with responsibilities such as making account coding decisions, holding signature authority on departmental accounts, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, initiating payments and ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with the CVM best practices. Required Qualifications: Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Fiscal Specialist 1 AND 15 quarter hours OR 10 semester hours of college level accounting; OR equivalent education/experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail. Ability to occasionally work additional hours, including evenings and weekends to meet grant submission deadlines. Experience successfully meeting deadlines.
