Role summary: As a Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC, you will ensure the effective operation and maintenance of HVACR systems by troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance in compliance with industry regulations and company policies. This role involves managing equipment resources, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to meet business and customer needs. You will apply technical expertise to maintain safety and environmental standards while contributing to operational efficiency and sustainability. Collaboration, integrity, and a commitment to excellence are essential to delivering reliable HVACR services across facilities. About the team: The Facilities Management HVACR team oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of essential heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across Walmart locations. This team ensures adherence to safety and environmental standards while enhancing operational efficiency and system reliability. Members collaborate to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and manage resources effectively. They provide technical expertise, training, and guidance to uphold high-quality standards and support business objectives. What you'll do: Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal operation. Conduct inspections and repairs in compliance with federal, state, and local HVACR regulations and safety guidelines. Manage refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and coordinate with suppliers and contractors for timely maintenance and repairs. Compile and report budget information, review invoices, and develop scopes of work for HVACR projects. Perform preventive maintenance and support district workloads with external service providers. Provide expert advice and collaborate with management and business partners to address improvement opportunities. Complete required documentation including refrigerant logs, work orders, and expense reports. What you'll bring: Proven expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems. Valid HVAC and EPA 608 Technician certifications demonstrating compliance with industry standards. Experience managing refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and maintaining accurate documentation. Knowledge of federal, state, and local HVACR regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines. Ability to develop scopes of work, conduct inspections, and perform preventive maintenance. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with management, coworkers, and external service providers. Commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement in HVACR operations. The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $45.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Minimum Qualifications...
