Our Resident Care Coordinator: Assists in the screening and orientation of new Resident Assistants and Medication Technicians. Conducts audits and updates in accordance with established procedures. Ensures follow-up actions are taken to address items identified during internal audits. Ensure that medications are readily available when required by facilitating timely refills.; Assists in reviewing and processing monthly cycle medication refills. Responsible for ordering laboratory tests as needed. Organizes the medication room to achieve optimal efficiency. As necessary, prepares and administers medication to residents as prescribed by a physician and in compliance with ECA Policies and Procedures. Reports any issues/errors, concerns, or changes. Oversees and publishes the schedule for Resident Assistants. May provide coverage for Resident Assistants or Medication Technicians when required. Facilitates the coordination and orientation process for new residents during their move-in, onboarding, orientation, and further periods. Supports changes that elevate the quality of care, service, and operational efficiency. Exhibits a high degree of sensitivity, patience, and compassion towards residents of all needs and faculties. Fosters and sustains respectful interpersonal relationships with residents, their family members, and fellow staff members. Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and measures. Adheres to established policies and procedures and, in alignment with the resident care plan, is accountable for the prompt attention to suitable resident care. Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals Performs other duties as assigned. What you need to succeed: High School Diploma. Completion of some college coursework or Associates/Bachelors preferred. A minimum of six months experience in a long-term care setting, home care or related field. Understanding of the medication program within a RCFE. Comprehensive understanding of Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Office 365, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email software. A deep understanding and passion for older adults, particularly those experiencing cognitive challenges, is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and collaborative work ethic are essential. Committed to delivering high-quality and professional interactions with residents, families, peers, volunteers, and team members in a multi-cultural environment. Skilled in exhibiting adaptability, making informed decisions in high-pressure situations, and effectively prioritizing tasks and projects with flexibility and a positive attitude. Completion of a background check. In accordance with state/local guidelines, may require physical, fingerprint, TB testing, and/or drug screen, as well as required vaccinations (unless medical/religious exemption exists).
