Job TitleCommunications Coordinator Agency Texas A&M University Department Business Development Proposed Minimum SalaryCommensurate Job LocationCollege Station, Texas Job TypeStaff Job Description A Glimpse of the Job The Communications Coordinator, under general supervision, coordinates, develops, and implements a comprehensive communication plans to include project management, content production, and written communication for both print and digital formats for the Division of Finance and Business Services. Essential Duties/Tasks: Develop and Execute Communications Oversees the development and production of departmental website content, email communications, and the communications calendar. Reviewing all content to meet compliance accessibility requirements. Monitoring metrics for content usage and effectiveness. Reviews, edits, and communicates needed updates to communications sent to students and parents from external partners (Bill/Payment, Refunds, Collection systems). Creates verbiage for automated call and text notifications for student and parent constituents. Writes answers for the Customer Relation Management (CRM) knowledge base system and creates standard text. Creates and maintains the Student Business Services annual communication plan for student/parent constituency. Assists with the coordination of internal and external communications from departments and leadership within the Division of Finance. Departmental Communications Update CRM knowledge base content as needed, respond to feedback from both internal and external constituents, and write articles for the external customer knowledge base. Creates surveys for students and parents to gather feedback on customer interactions. Reviews vendor marketing materials. Events Creates and edits pre- and post-event communications, surveys, and division announcements. Assists with creating presentations, templates, videos, speeches, social media content, signage, and other communication platforms for the division. Websites Works closely with the team to monitor and review departmental web sites for current UX/UI and accessibility compliance. Supports website content updates, refresh, and visuals. Special Projects Support projects and division initiatives as needed. What you need to know Salary Range: $45,000-50,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate to selected hires experience. Required Education and Experience Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of communications and/or marketing experience. Experience with email platforms and email communications. Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of experience working as a communications coordinator, communications specialist, project manager or similar role on a marketing and communications team. Experience creating graphics for digital and print communication. Comfortability working within a project management software. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and effectively. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to effectively plan and execute short and long-term projects that make efficient use of resources, meet deadlines, and achieve objectives. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work as a motivated self-starter. Strong attention to detail and grammatical expertise. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to bring fresh ideas, individual voice, and enthusiasm to the team. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders.
