Ski perks (vary based on employment status) may include Deer Valley season pass, free skiing or riding at other Alterra Resorts and select local Utah resorts Friends and family ski discounts, free staff ski lessons and discounted rentals (winter staff only) Subsidized meals at Employee Dining Rooms offered for staff while on shift Subsidized housing options available for seasonal full-time staff Discounts for staff members at restaurants, shops, and service providers in Park City Healthcare options are available for staff members 401k plan with company match PURPOSE OF POSITION: A Level III Fleet Maintenance Mechanic requires advanced experience and knowledge with gas/diesel engines and hydraulics/electronics to perform maintenance on a variety of resort equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on all fleet vehicles in an expedient fashion. Maintain gas and diesel engines Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics/electrical components Train and mentor Level I and II technicians, giving advice and pointers to less experienced staff Assist Level IV technicians as needed Perform moderate fabrication projects and custom modifications Improvise and pioneer efficient methods for service and repairs Assist with some administrative duties; finding parts, writing P.O.s, filing records. Document all parts usage and all work done on work orders Follow all shop safety practices and dress code. Maintain clean tools and work area Manage motor pool and have accountability for damage on a daily basis. Perform other tasks as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of related experience High school education, formal automotive training, or equivalent Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications a plus Specialty training such as hydraulics and/or electronics Must have a valid drivers license with clean driving record Must be able to lift heavy items and work in adverse conditions Have an ample tool inventory: full hand tools, full air tools, diagnostic, etc. DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: Year Round PAY RATE: Pay: $30.00 per hour Deer Valley is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
