POSITION SUMMARY: The Strategy and Implementation Manager will play a highly visible role in leading transformation in General Internal Medicine, the largest ambulatory department at Boston Medical Center Health System. The role will develop critical analyses, engage clinical and operational leaders, and implement change. Position: Strategy Implementation Manager Department: Primary Care Clinic Schedule: Full Time General Internal Medicines 200 primary care providers conduct more than 135,000 visits per year. We are looking for a Strategy and Implementation Manager to lead strategic projects that improve operations and enhance patient care and experience. Under the Departments Director of Operations, the Strategy and Implementation Manager works closely with senior leadership and stakeholders within the Department and across BMCs ambulatory space to implement change. The Strategy Manager will play a highly visible role in leading transformation in BMC primary care. The role will develop critical analyses, engage clinical and operational leaders, and implement change. Responsibilities may include: Developing a system of performance metrics and reporting infrastructure that supports key practice goals Leading projects that identify new revenue streams and billing opportunities Spearheading initiatives that optimize patient thruput and experience Providing operational leadership and support to key clinical and population health interventions Leading senior managers and other stakeholders in the development of new workflows, operating procedures, and programs Developing and maintaining a strategic plan for the practice Core duties: Works under the direction of Director of Operations Facilitates discussions with stakeholders to drive forward project objectives and overcome barriers Conducts analysis (Excel) and communicates insights (PowerPoint) JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred) EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years experience in consulting or management of strategic health care projects KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Confidence and adaptability to tackle complex and unstructured problems Positive attitude and willingness to own all aspects of a project Superb communication skills to distill complicated issues into clear recommendations Expert quantitative analysis and critical reasoning skills to structure and carry out analyses Strong interpersonal skills to navigate competing stakeholder interests Ability to work independently and with matrixed teams Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple projects to meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills to navigate competing stakeholder interests Ability to work independently and with matrixed teams Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple projects to meet deadlines Compensation Range: $71,500.00- $104,000.00 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
