Job Summary TYLin is seeking a talented and motivated Architect to support the planning and design of transit facilities for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and related New Yorkarea agencies. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure projects including stations, coachyards, maintenance facilities, and other essential transit support structures, while growing your technical expertise within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Youll contribute to delivering high-quality public infrastructure that shapes how millions of people move through New York every day. Responsibilities & Qualifications What Youll Do: Support architectural design and documentation for transit facilities, such as passenger stations, support buildings, and yard/maintenance facilities. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, MEP, civil) and work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in managing subconsultants and internal design contributors to ensure coordinated, timely, and technically accurate deliverables. Interpret and apply MTA design standards, building codes, and client requirements. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and stakeholder engagement activities. Contribute to design production from conceptual design through construction documents and provide support during construction administration. Perform quality checks on architectural work products to maintain high design standards. What Youll Bring: Registered Architect (RA) or American Institute of Architects (AIA) designated, or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe. Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited program. Approximately 5+ years of architectural experience, preferably with exposure to transit or transportation infrastructure projects. Experience working with MTA agencies (MTA C&D, NYCT, LIRR, or Metro-North) is highly valued. Solid understanding of applicable NYC codes, ADA, NFPA, and MTA design guidelines. Strong technical design and documentation skills; construction-phase experience is a plus. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with 3D visualization tools preferred. Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and support the mentorship of junior staff. Preferred Experience: Familiarity with the MTA Capital Program and design submittal processes. Experience with federally funded projects or Design-Build delivery. LEED accreditation or an interest in sustainable and resilient infrastructure design. Why Join Us? Additional Information TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$90,000 - $130,000 annually for this position and local market.
