Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Underwriter to join our team, specializing in One80s Auto Dealer Program. This role offers the opportunity to manage and grow a substantial book of business, focusing on both new business and renewals. The Underwriter will be responsible for analyzing risks, developing coverage terms, and ensuring profitable growth within the Auto Dealer sector. The program is property and casualty focused with an emphasis on garage liability underwriting. Your Impact: Manage an existing book of business, servicing renewals and cultivating new business opportunities. Underwrite Auto Dealer accounts, with a focus on garage liability, property, and excess liability Evaluate applications to assess risk exposures and determine appropriate coverage terms. Maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents to drive growth and retention. Ensure all underwriting decisions align with company guidelines and profitability objectives. Maintain accurate and thorough underwriting documentation. Successful Candidates Will Have: Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience. 3-5 years of experience in underwriting. Garage underwriting experience strongly preferred, commercial package underwriting experience acceptable. Strong knowledge of casualty risks and auto dealer operations. Ability to effectively manage a high-volume book of business. One80 Intermediaries is a privately held firm with offices throughout the US and Canada. At One80 Intermediaries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $70,000 - $75,000 plus discretionary bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
