Job Title: Research Associate 1-Social Department: John Glenn | Ohio Education Research Center The incumbent will support research in the OERC by reviewing policies, conducting literature reviews, and assisting in the preparation of reports. The individual will conduct basic survey, financial and statistical analyses. The individual will join the OERC team working to carry out data driven, evidence-based research and evaluation with a focus on the State of Ohio. The individual will support the team in the development and ongoing implementation of dashboards, scorecards, and clearinghouses for government entities. Additionally, the person in this role will provide administrative support related to the conduct of research studies, the administration of the Ohio Longitudinal Data Archive, and the operations of the Ohio Education Research Center. Competitive applicants will have a knowledge of the federal ESSA evidence standards and experience using evidence-based clearinghouses (e.g. IES What Works Clearinghouse, Evidence for ESSA). Additional Information: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in public policy, education, political science, or a related social science field or equivalent experience required; 3 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree in social sciences, education or a related field, or 1 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree. Desired Requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, qualitative research skills, and Qualtrics This is a 100% grant funded, term position, renewable annually contingent on funding and performance. This position requires an onsite physical presence typically 2-3 days per week at the Columbus, Ohio, campus. This position is ineligible for sponsorship. The salary range for this position is $51,500 to $55,000 to be determined by by internal equity, budget, and the candidate's education and experience.
