Student Employee HR Project Assistant Job Description Position Summary: This position exists in order to assist Human Resources department with project planning and execution. In addition to fulfilling this purpose, each employee continuously strives to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ. Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part time capacity according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy. Hours: 15-19 hours a week during semester and the starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit. Specific Summary of Duties: Assist with HR projects that support college-wide strategic initiatives (e.g., HR technology, student employee mentoring, and succession planning). Implement project planning tools and processes to achieve milestones and project due dates. Collect, organize, and analyze information to help HR leaders make informed decisions. Contribute to project communications, reports, and documentation that will be shared with campus stakeholders. Collaborate with HR staff to problem-solve and recommend creative solutions. Represent HR by modeling a positive, collaborative, and professional culture. Assist other HR student employees with daily office functions monitoring front desk, answering phones, assisting visitors, and administrative support to full-time employees. Essential Job Functions: Be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 3 credits per block and in good academic standing. Ability to produce effective written correspondence through email and other written communication. Have the ability to communicate effectively, listen and respond appropriately. Highly self-motivated, hard worker, creative, and has a great attention to detail. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with the supervisor, team members, faculty, and staff. Ability to solve problems and ask for clarification as needed. Proficient in Office 365 with experience preferred in Workday, MS Planner, Smartsheet and Canva or Camtasia. Dependable attendance and timely arrival at the assigned work location. Preferably pursuing a course of study in Human Resources or Business-related fields with an emphasis on Project Management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to evaluate and research solutions. Ability to collaborate in creating department documentation, project communications, deadlines, effective content, and development deliverables.
