Department/Unit: Marketing Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $55,895.80 - $83,843.71 Reporting to the AVP for Communications and Marketing, the Communications Specialist manages multiple social media account across various platforms and supports the Albany Med Health Systems marketing campaigns and various other marketing projects. Social Media Strategy & Channel Management Manages Albany Med Health Systems social media presence across multiple platforms, ensuring consistent messaging, brand voice, and audience engagement. Develops and maintains a social media content calendar aligned with organizational priorities, campaigns, and key initiatives. Creates, schedules, and publishes content across social media channels to increase visibility, engagement, and brand awareness. Identifies emerging social media trends, tools, and platform updates to help keep the Systems digital presence relevant and effective. Monitors social media channels for comments, messages, and emerging issues; engages with audiences as appropriate and escalates sensitive clinical, or reputational concerns to department leadership. Identifies emerging trends, tools, and platform updates to enhance the Systems digital presence. Digital Content Creation Produces engaging digital content including written posts, photos, short-form video, and other multimedia assets for social media and digital platforms. Collaborates with staff to identify and share compelling stories that highlight the Systems innovation, expertise, and patient care. Coordinates and assists with photography and videography for marketing initiatives, campaigns, and institutional storytelling. Works closely with graphics team to develop creative assets that support digital campaigns. Marketing Campaign Support Supports the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across social media and digital channels. Collaborates with the Communications & Marketing team to develop digital content that supports service line promotion, institutional initiatives, and organizational priorities. Coordinates the work of photographers, videographers and select other vendors. Helps with photography and videography for select initiatives. Analytics, Reporting & Optimization Tracks and analyzes social media performance metrics including reach, engagement, and audience growth. Prepares reports and presentation summarizing campaign performance and digital engagement trends. Uses analytics and audience insights to recommend improvements to content strategy and campaign effectiveness. Brand & Thought Leadership Promotion Supports efforts to position Albany Med Health System as a regional and industry thought leader through strategic digital storytelling.
