OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Networks national content. JOB DESCRIPTION FOX 7 Austin News is seeking a talented and dedicated News Photographer to join our dynamic team. This role demands an individual with a keen eye for capturing compelling visuals and the ability to deliver broadcast-quality video consistently. As a News Photographer, you will play a pivotal role in our news coverage, working closely with reporters or independently to bring stories to life for our audience. Key Responsibilities: Video Production: Capture and produce high-quality video footage that meets broadcast standards, ensuring clarity, composition, and storytelling excellence. Time Management: Efficiently manage your schedule to meet deadlines and time-slots, demonstrating reliability and punctuality in all assignments. Collaboration: Work harmoniously with reporters and other team members, fostering a cooperative environment to enhance news coverage. Communication: Maintain constant communication with the assignments desk, providing timely updates during breaking news events and while streaming live video. Equipment Care: Exercise meticulous care in handling and maintaining camera and live equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and longevity. Vehicle Maintenance: Uphold the cleanliness and maintenance of company vehicles, reflecting professionalism and attention to detail. Qualifications: Proven experience in news photography, with a portfolio showcasing broadcast-quality video work. Strong technical skills in operating video cameras and related equipment. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
