Schedule to be determined with supervisor. Remote in Austin area New OnRamps student employee pay is $12.00 hourly. Returning OnRamps student employee pay is $13.00 hourly. Returning 2 years or more OnRamps student employee pay is $14.00 hourly. Professional development completion + Returning 2 years or more OnRamps student employee pay is $14.50. Position effective August 16-December 31, 2026 Several positions open to The University of Texas at Austin Undergraduate students only. General Notes OnRamps prepares students and teachers for success in the classroom and beyond. We build partnerships across K12 and higher education to raise the bar on dynamic experiences that advance student success while lowering barriers to access and opportunity. Purpose The Instructional Design Fellow supports strategic and tactical aspects of Instructional Design and related technology within OnRamps. They provide sustained contributions to ongoing initiatives, as well as just-in-time assistance with seasonal, unexpected, and urgent projects. Responsibilities Assists the Instructional Designer with day-to-day operational aspects of initiatives within OnRamps, an innovative dual enrollment program at The University of Texas at Austin, pursuing excellence in all aspects of project and customer-service delivery. Works alongside subject matter experts to create engaging learning activities and compelling course content for OnRamps online courses. Performs data entry, management, and reporting in OnRamps learning management system, and other research- and business-management platforms. Creates supporting media (including audio, video, and games) for OnRamps online courses. In collaboration with OnRamps program staff, engages in continuous improvement processes toward achievement of program objectives and staff leadership principles Attends & contributes to project meetings: write minutes, capture, and report action items. Maintains project documentation in line with OnRamps Project Management Methodology. Performs various administrative tasks, including copying, filing, and transcription. Conducts instructional research and analysis to aid in continuous improvement cycles. Required Qualifications Current undergraduate or graduate student 1+ year experience working in professional office environment Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint Contact information for at least one (1) professional or academic reference Professional conduct and appearance Punctual, reliable, responsible Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Academic interest in Education, Instructional Technology/Design, Business, Communications, Computer Science, or related field. Interest in and knowledge of local, state, and national dual enrollment and college-readiness initiatives/programs. Experience providing customer support. Experience with MS Outlook, Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), Smartsheet, and/or Ticketing software.
