Building Name: UVMMC - Medical Center - Main Campus Location Address: 111 Colchester Avenue, Burlington Vermont Regular Department: Emergency Department - A Full Time Standard Hours: 36 Biweekly Scheduled Hours: Shift: Day/Eve-12Hr Primary Shift: Variable - Variable Weekend Needs: Every Other Salary Range: Min $21.69 Mid $27.95 Max $34.20 Recruiter: Greg Cary JOB DESCRIPTION: The Emergency Department Technician works under the supervision of an RN while providing care to patients in varying states of health and illness during their time in the Emergency Department. The ED Tech functions as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team and should be fully versed in all areas of either emergency department or transport team operations. The ED Tech must have the ability to manage multiple responsibilities as well as exhibit willingness and the ability to communicate department standards and expectations. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalency. National EMT certification required; EMT-State preferred. BLS Certification required. EXPERIENCE: Six months of EMT experience preferred This is a bargaining union position.
