This position sets up and operates equipment that mixes and blends ingredients used in the manufacturing of pasta products. Operates and monitors pasta processing equipment and raw material handling systems. Maintains safe and sanitary conditions of the production areas. Heavy lifting and forklift experience required. Employee Type: Full time Location: ND Grand Forks Job Type: Production Group Job Posting Title: Mixer/Material Handler (Forklift) - Days Job Description: Schedule: Rotating A/B Schedule: (3) days one week and (4) days the next, 12 hour shift, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with match, STD/LTD/AD&D/Life, HSA, FSA, EAP, Hospital indemnity, Accident Insurance, Identity and Fraud Protection Plan, Legal, and Critical Illness. Salary: $22.50 per hour. Location: Grand Forks, ND Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Calibrates and maintains ingredient feeders. 2. Completes changeover calibrations. 3. Completes a full range for paper work to record food production process. 4. Empties, fills, and maintains additive levels for feeder equipment. This requires handling 100-pound bags of additives and materials. 5. Maintains proper date rotation on all additives, using FIFO method. 6. Assists with changeovers and changeover sanitation duties. 7. Performs sanitation assignments on daily sanitation checklist. 8. Performs raw material handler duties as directed. This requires operating a forklift. 9. Will assist with production needs as directed. Education and / or Experience High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Previous forklift experience required. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Physical Demands: Standing and walking is required 100% of the time. The use of both hands is required 100% of the time. Constant heavy lifting required throughout shift. Consistent standing, walking, and climbing up and down stairs. Must be able to work in a hot environment with steamy conditions. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to perform the following: pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and stooping. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
