The Opportunity The position of Production Team Leader II is within our Infectious Disease Developed Markets business unit located at Scarborough, Maine. In this role you will provide guidance to the production team in order to produce quality products, seek continuous improvement, and achieve established goals and targets for safety, quality, and productivity. You will also work with peers to promote process improvements and document improvements. What You'll Work On Works closely with the Production Manager and Shift Supervisor to ensure all production objectives are met or exceeded and lend support on priority projects which may include validation related documentation, production process improvements, seasonal ramp up support. Coordinates work flow with other Area Leaders & deployment strategy. Provide all new, and recently promoted full-time permanent employees with 30/60-day discussion for team members in assigned area. Responsible for all training needs and documentation within the assigned production area. Address production personnel concerns and resolve problems including Team/Group Lead personnel. Departmental Focal point for process change coordination, documentation updates. Approves work and gives area clearances. Interprets, creates, and improves SOPs, specifications, templates, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. May directly supervise employees in the production department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; providing input in appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience using CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and techniques. Preferred Qualifications Post High School certificate from a college or technical school in manufacturing or related field. Comprehensive understanding of operational excellence/lean principles and applications. Comprehensive understanding of medical device manufacturing. Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision. kill in using computer applications including spreadsheet, database, manufacturing, and word processing software.
