THE JOB: The Security Academy Instructors contribute to the success of MGM properties by conducting security and non-security training, including Defensive Tactics training, to MGM Security Officers seeking promotion or who have recently joined the team. THE STARTING RATE: $25 per hour THE DAY-TO-DAY: Instruct Security Officers courses on a variety of subjects in a professional manner. Collaborate with Property Security, Human Resources, and The MGM Resorts University to ensure progression through training courses and testing for completion. Assess training needs and implement training and learning opportunities all levels of the organization. Conduct CPR instructor course based on American Heart Association requirements, and conduct Defensive Tactics Instructor Train the Trainer with strict adherence to MGMRI policy. Plan and manage class schedules, enrollments, training spaces, materials and audio visual needs for training program. Perform classroom setup and breakdown, material preparation, scheduling, inventory ordering and resource allocations. Collaborate and maintain instructional guides and participant handouts for training program utilizing adult learning theories and curriculum design methods. Evaluate pre and postcourse data for measurement of learning quality, participation, satisfaction, performance and business impact. Develop and recommend alternative training methods if needed. Manage deadlines and resources and work with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
