Job Description Summary Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems and control equipment within industrial environment. Job Description Core Duties & Responsibilities Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in high-speed production machinery and automated systems to minimize costly operational downtime. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, test equipment, and replace worn components before failures occur. System Installation: Lay out circuits, route conduit, and install electrical cabinets, switchgear, and transformers. Automation & PLCs: Interpret Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) that regulate automated factory equipment. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and update complex electrical blueprints, technical schematics, and wiring diagrams. Safety & Code Compliance: Ensure all installations adhere rigidly to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA workplace safety regulations. Basic & Preferred Qualifications Technical Mastery: In-depth understanding of high-voltage systems (e.g., 480VAC), three-phase circuits, and digital/analog instrumentation. Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using diagnostic gear like multimeters, voltmeters, and ammeters, alongside heavy tools like conduit benders. Analytical Problem-Solving: The capability to logic-test systems under stress to isolate root causes of complex electrical failures. Physical Stamina: Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and operate safely in loud, hot, or confined industrial spaces. Education: Journeyman license.
