Job Summary: Join the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Mission Area within the Systems Engineering Center, where we design and develop advanced radar and early-warning sensor systems for the warfighter. We are seeking Systems Engineering Interns who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and are eager to support innovative sensor and radar programs. You will work alongside experienced engineers to define system architecture, develop requirements, perform analysis and modeling, and support integration, testing, and flight activities across the full product lifecycle. This position is onsite role. This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Technical Intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below or Post-Graduate standing: (Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program and classified as a Sophomore by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment. (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment. (Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment. Post-Graduate has completed a Bachelors degree program and is preparing to start or is enrolled in Graduate Studies program What You Will Do Support development, analysis, and documentation of system requirements, CONOPS, and system architectures. Assist with radar mode requirement development and system performance assessments. Conduct modeling, simulation, and data analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Python, and C++. Participate in hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and hands-on laboratory testing. Support verification, validation, flight test, production, and post-deployment activities. Perform trade studies, functional/physical analyses, and MBSE-based system design. Prepare and present technical reports, findings, and briefings to internal and external stakeholders. Basic Qualifications This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelors (or higher) Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM fields. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Academic or internship experience with: Hands-on testing of electronic equipment in labs Troubleshooting electronic or system-level issues Data analysis using MATLAB and/or C++ Preferred Qualifications: 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher Coursework or experience in Systems Engineering or radar fundamentals. Experience or project work in: Algorithm design Requirements development Software/hardware integration Configuration management Programming experience in Java, C++, Python. Experience with requirements management in DOORS Leadership involvement in student organizations, athletics, or community service. Experience with: Signal processing, control theory, statistics, information theory, and detection methods Imaging/pattern recognition Data filtering (Kalman, batch, optimal estimation) Advanced statistics Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to multitask, solve problems independently, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The salary range for this role is 42,000 USD - 88,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
