San Luis Hauling, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a full-time Yard Laborer to join our team in San Luis Obispo, CA! This is a full-time, long-term position with full benefits! The schedule will be Monday Friday, 7am-4pm. Pay starts at $20.00 per hour. The pay range for this job category is $20 - 21.25/hour. This is an outdoor, labor-intensive position that is physically demanding and requires heavy lifting. Responsibilities Include: Pressure-washing containers and equipment Container assembly/breakdown Painting containers and around the facility Litter/debris cleanup General site/yard maintenance Operating forklift Other assigned laborer duties Working Conditions and Physical Effort: Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions. The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate. Requirements: At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in a labor type position Ability to work/operate safely and adhere to all safety policies Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift Flexibility to rotate through various tasks as needed Valid Driver's License and clean driving record To be considered for any of our current openings you must complete an application at www.wasteconnections.com.
