Position Specific Information (if Applicable): Aspen View Pre-K Floating Teacher Assistant will: Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following: · Treat children, families and staff with dignity and respect at all times. · Assist in supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of preschool children in various settings. · Assist supervision preschool children during lunch and rest time in all PreK classrooms. · Assist in preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies · Assist/supervise the classroom and playground. · Help with the general housekeeping tasks · Assist the teacher in other ways as requested (job related) · Always maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to AVA · Assist teacher with implementation of appropriate early childhood education experiences · Help teachers supervise and promote activities designed to enhance the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of children · Help to maintain a neat and organized classroom. · Help children establish good habits of personal hygiene. Assist children in changing clothes when needed. Encourage children to be independent in this skill. · Always supervise activities to ensure safety of students. · Complete 15 continuing Ed hours of Early Childhood Education throughout the school year. Provide clerical support in a variety of functions. Prepare, adapt, arrange, and maintain preschool materials.
