Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to fill a Software Engineering (Level 3 or 4) supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in Aurora, CO. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: MEXOU is looking for Software Engineers to support development and maintenance of software tools across the full product lifecycle. This role involves close collaboration with Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test, as well as end users. Tasks include: Support architecture, analysis, and trade studies. Work closely with Systems Engineers to design and document verifiable software solutions that meet mission requirements. Develop software features and capabilities with a strong compliant with the programs Software Development Plan and industry best practices. Write and maintain unit tests, and assist I&T with installation, smoke tests, and development of feature-level verification test procedures. Actively participate in the peer review process both as a developer and a reviewer. Implement DR fixes and targeted refactoring to maintain the operability and technical performance of the software baseline. Support Software CM with branching / pull requests, baseline management, release notes, and VDDs. Basic Qualifications: Level 3: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relative experience; masters degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of relative experience. 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Level 4: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of relative experience; masters degree in a STEM discipline with 6+ years of relative experience. 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Requires an active Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility at time of application Must be willing to submit and pass a CI Poly after starting work Strong Java programming proficiency Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, Mongo, etc.) Software design experience (UML preferred) Understanding of Agile development and Scrum practices, including familiarity with Jira and Confluence tools Hand-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservice architecture Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Python development Experience with Spring Framework (SpringBoot, SprintMVC) Front-end GUI design and development experience (NodeJS, React, Vue) Experience with identity and access management (Keycloak) DevOps and advanced Software configuration management tools and techniques Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
