Job Description: The Role The Manager, Data Analytics and Insights performs critical functions to support daily operations, including detailed data analysis, issue identification and resolution, and helpdesk support. Quality, accuracy, and timeliness are essential to the success of this function. The Expertise and skills You Bring We are seeking a highly motivated and responsive teammate who can multi-task and has a knack for analytics. Our work is highly collaborative and involves close coordination and communication with clients, data vendors, and key business and technology partners across Fidelity. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in an investment or financial services operations environment. Hands-on experience with investment data (e.g., securities, mutual funds, indices) across different subject areas like characteristics and reference data. Required technical skills include a strong working knowledge of SQL and MS Office, while experience with Python is highly desirable, and familiarity with tools like R Studio is a plus. You are comfortable working independently and can respond effectively to a changing work environment. You combine analytical thinking with the confidence to make recommendations on an appropriate course of action. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal and relationship management skills. You think outside the box and strive for continuous improvement. You can respond effectively to a dynamically changing work environment and positively influence business outcomes. You have strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You are highly detail-oriented and organized with a strong commitment to accuracy. You have the ability to work effectively with various vendors and business partners across the organization. You can utilize industry research tools to procure company-specific data and interpret and act on the results. Proactively identify data issues, investigate their root cause, and work with business and technology partners to resolve them and improve data quality. Create, update, and assist in transitioning process documentation for new and existing workflows. Identify and propose process enhancements to make the operations more efficient. Support and coach colleagues, help identify training gaps, and actively monitor helpdesk queues to assist the team and manager. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidates relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
