Job Summary: Our opportunity provides a truly hands on sales experience in new business development to candidates looking to develop the full range of sales skills that will serve as the backbone of their sales career. Interns receive extensive training on commodities, the energy industry, and both account management sales skills as well as new business development sales skills through mentorship and firsthand experiences. Interns will have the opportunity to expand, develop, and practice specific skills that support their interests in a professional sales career. Primary Responsibilities: Drive new business relationships through prospecting. Work directly with customers through the entire sales process to offer customized natural gas and power solutions for large commercial and industrial customers. Controlling and managing the sales process from start to finish (prospecting to contracting). Manage your own profitability and product pricing. Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and adapt quickly. Collaborate with a supportive team in a motivating environment. Required Skills: High attention to detail and must be comfortable working with numbers. Comfortable making calls and corresponding through e-mail to businesses with the ability to communicate professionally. Independent and highly motivated. Highly competitive. Minimum Education and Experience: Sophomores/Incoming Juniors and Juniors/Incoming Seniors Business Major - 3.0 GPA. Sales experience a plus. Experience in Microsoft Office. #LI-AM1 Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Unfortunately, a current or future need for sponsorship is not supported or available for this position. Salary Range: $31,200.00 - $52,000.00 *This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included. This role is also eligible for an uncapped sales commission.
