Full Job Description

Bridge Specialty Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Garden City, NY! The Senior Accountant is responsible for all aspects of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, financial forecasting and budgeting, and certain reconciliations as well as a business partner to our office leaders. How You Will Contribute: Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger entries. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and provide income statements/balance sheet flux analysis. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Assisting with forecasting/budgeting preparation. Analyze financial data and identify trends to support business decisions. Maintain policy files and documentation. Respond to inquiries and resolve discrepancies. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation. Maintains security by following internal controls and segregation of duties. Correspond with internal and external entities via phone, mail, and email to respond to questions. Review expense reports. Participate in internal leadership meetings to provide insights and support strategic decisionmaking. Travel to branch locations, or meeting as required to support business operation and collaboration. Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills & Experience to Be Successful: Some insurance related courses or industry related knowledge (preferred) Minimum education required bachelors degree in accounting or finance or equivalent in relevant experience. Proficient with MS Office Suite Exceptional telephone demeanor Valid Driver License Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Pay Range $80,000 - $100,000 Annual The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
