Full Job Description

Logistics Planner As a Bulk Ingredient Planner you will have responsibility for planning bulk ingredients for several of our Purina Manufacturing Locations. Accountabilities include optimizing inventory levels, understanding and optimizing freight utilization, manage slow moving inventory, and meeting all business strategies including service and costs. This position will be located either at Arden Hills or on-site at one of the following plant locations: Sioux City, IA, Sioux Falls, IA, or Lincoln, NE. Key focus areas: Materials/Daily Replenishment planning: assess and requisition ingredients and materials from vendors(and select LOL plants) into assigned plants to support of production needs Actively participate and raise upcoming ingredient risks to the production plan in cross-functional end to end meetings Develop short- and long-term inventory strategies to mitigate supply concerns(e.g. rail vs truck, demurrage costs, etc). Monitor bin space and proactively manage slow moving inventory with plant leadership while simultaneously working with cross functional partners to assess the need for expedited shipments Develop and maintain strong relationships with sourcing coordinators, buyers, and plant personnel Participate in strategic initiatives to help drive down cost and increase service(CTS/DTV/etc. initiatives) Competencies: Proven success in working collaboratively and cross-functionally Ability to work independently Manage multiple tasks/prioritize and plan daily activities Ability to analyze and provide insight Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a timely manner Required Experience/Education: High School Diploma/GED 1-3 years experience in supply chain, planning and/or animal nutrition industry Prior ERP planning experience Salary: $61,360 - $92,040 In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges About Land O'Lakes, Inc.
