Job Description The Group Risk Management (GRM) Credit Risk group provides independent and effective adjudication, monitoring, and control, and ensures the implementation and compliance with risk management policies and procedures. Our group is a dynamic team of individuals who value hard work and have a constant need to improve and learn. The new hire will join as a junior member of the GRM teams that cover Corporate Lending, and Asset Backed Securities (ABS) in New York. This is a ten-week internship at our New York offices located in The World Financial Center (Brookfield Place), 200 Vesey Street, New York, NY 10281. Role Overview: Working as an Intern in our Credit Risk group can mean everything from running financial models, monitoring and establishing borrower credit risk ratings, assisting in credit transaction approvals, and generating various risk reports for senior management. In addition, our intern will have the opportunity to participate in rewarding projects which will require a deep dive into specific industry, market, and credit risk concepts. Our Intern will need to have a strong combination of qualitative and quantitative skills to succeed. We value curiosity, adaptability, analytical thinking, and flexibility. We want you to get of full view of the Credit Risk team and all the businesses we support. GRM Credit Risk Main Coverage Areas: Corporate Lending / Leveraged Lending: adjudicating, monitoring and managing credit risk related to industries including Technology, Communication, Media, and Entertainment, Healthcare, Business Services, and Aerospace & Defense. Asset Backed Securities (ABS): adjudicating, monitoring and managing credit risk related to traditional ABS (e.g., Auto, Credit Cards, and Trade Receivables), and non-traditional ABS (e.g., Fleet Finance, Handset, and Aircrafts). Primary Responsibilities Review and recommend credit risk ratings for borrowers in various industries Assist in the credit transaction adjudication process, including conducting business and financial due diligence and running financial models Monitor client, industry, and market performance and trends Produce risk reports and/or client reviews for senior management Work with corporate banking, leveraged finance, Securitization, and other business partners to ensure close cohesion on key risk issues At the end of your internship, you will be asked to present a project to members of the senior management team Qualifications: Undergraduate students at an accredited four-year college or university graduating in December 2026 or May 2027 Demonstrated interest in financial markets Self-driven, highly motivated and fast learning individual Proficient communication skills and ability to work well in teams Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Programming proficiency is a plus but not required (VBA, Python, SQL, etc).
