Join Our Team at Tallahassee State College Administrative Assistant Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025,is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for the position of Administrative Assistant P00714 with the Student Affairs Department. We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community. What Youll Do The Administrative Assistant performs advanced clerical/secretarial and administrative support functions of considerable variety and complexity requiring exercising considerable judgment and initiative in completing assignments for a dean, manager, chair or coordinator. Day-to-day responsibilities will include: Maintains Enrollment Appeals Committee (EAC) office files, to include organizing, scanning and filing all documentation (i.e. letters, reports and related information) submitted as part of the appeals process. Serves as receptionist for the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, to include answering the telephone, screening and routing calls, answering routine questions regarding the enrollment appeals process, taking messages for staff, greeting and announcing visitors, and routing students and visitors to the appropriate department to address concerns. Serves as a backup receptionist for Student Advising & Retention. Receives, opens, and routes mail for staff in the OVPSA; receives and routes all incoming documents requiring Vice President approval; orders office supplies; initiates print requests online; schedules conference rooms in the Student Advising & Retention suite; and serves as back-up receptionist for the Student Advising & Retention suite. Receives and processes requests for duplicate diplomas and assists staff with distributing diplomas for term graduates. Provides clerical support to staff during the annual commencement planning phase, orientations and ceremony.
