Role Overview Were seeking a Senior Database Administrator with deep expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL, particularly in Azure cloud environments, to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to shape and modernize our database infrastructure while supporting mission-critical applications. What Youll Do Administer and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL databases across on-prem and cloud (Azure) environments. Manage and maintain Azure PostgreSQL environments. Implement schema changes, backup/recovery strategies, and security protocols. Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Document configurations, changes, and procedures. Evaluate and integrate new database tools and technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support applications such as Core Hub, Hub Connect, and Copay. What Youll Bring Minimum Qualifications: Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience Education and Certifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Oracle DBA (OCP) certification. preferred Critical SKills 7+ years of experience in database administration. 5+ years managing large-scale Oracle and PostgreSQL environments (cloud and on-prem). Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting. Proven experience with Azure PostgreSQL. Preferred Skills: Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Docker. Scripting in Python or Bash. Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform. We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
