OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Networks national content. JOB DESCRIPTION FOX 5 Atlanta is a leading media organization dedicated to delivering engaging and interactive streaming content. We are seeking a creative and motivated User Experience Producer to join our team and enhance audience engagement through innovative use of social media platforms. The User Experience Producer uses various tools and social media platforms to amplify the reach of the stations streaming content, while building audience engagement and creating an interactive user community around the stations live stream. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborates with Producer/Hosts on strategies to invite user comments and feedback during our streaming content, with a focus on YouTube and TikTok as vehicles for interactivity Simulcasts live stream content on various social platforms, specifically including YouTube. Moderates and participates in live chats that accompany the live stream on social platforms Shares selected user feedback from social media chats and comments with Producer/Hosts for use in live stream content Creates and publishes promotional and editorial content related to the live stream on various social media platforms and through email newsletters Identifies, produces and publishes compelling excerpts from the stations live stream on social media platforms, with the goal of creating viral video posts featuring streaming content Optimizes distribution of live stream and video-on-demand content on various social media platforms, specifically including YouTube, following best practices related to SEO, tagging, thumbnail creation and editing Responds to user questions on social platforms via direct reply, social media posts, FOX Local shelf content, etc. highlighting content and increasing discoverability Develops and innovates live stream and social media content by establishing relationships with key influencers, podcasters and others in the social media space Operates a basic video switcher and web-based video program content management system when needed to execute live stream production Produces or hosts live stream content when needed Communicates with the newsroom and digital leadership team, especially the Executive Producer, Streaming, to ensure quality feedback and sharing of information Evaluates audience measurement data and participates in discussions about content strategy and planning for the stations live stream Performs other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS Must possess strong language skills, be proficient in English grammar, spelling and punctuation and must be able to craft conversational, sharable copy for posting on social media platforms and the stations website Proficiency with video production technology, including non-linear editing and video switching tools Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment that requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail Self-starter with the ability to work productively while working independently Able to prioritize and work under daily deadline pressure Able to deal with the public and audience members politely and professionally via telephone, email, social media chat and other means. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $60,000.00-75,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
