Position Summary... The Manager, Audit, leads and oversees audit activities by developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships to support business objectives. This role ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements through comprehensive audit planning, control evaluation, and risk assessment. The manager directs audit staff, drives process improvements, and communicates findings effectively to stakeholders. By fostering accountability and continuous learning, this position promotes ethical standards and operational excellence while supporting the companys mission and values in a dynamic business environment. About the team: The Internal Audit team provides independent assurance and advisory services across Walmarts Health & Wellness and Real Estate sectors. They safeguard assets, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Collaborating with business leaders, the team delivers insights to improve processes, mitigate risks, and support strategic goals. Their work spans pharmacies, healthcare operations, site selection, construction, and asset management. Emphasizing analytical skills and clear communication, the team builds strong partnerships while maintaining professional independence, accountability, and transparency. Travel is required to fulfill these responsibilities effectively. What you'll do... Develop, plan, and manage corporate, divisional, and functional audits, including work plans and budgets. Lead audit staff in validating control design and effectiveness, identifying deficiencies through testing and analysis. Communicate audit findings, control weaknesses, and recommendations to stakeholders via clear, executive-level reports. Drive audit process efficiencies by identifying automation opportunities and standardizing methodologies. Oversee investigations of high-risk allegations, collaborating with legal and compliance teams to address irregularities. Provide supervision, mentoring, and development opportunities to audit associates, fostering accountability and growth. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements throughout audit activities. What you'll bring: Proven expertise in audit planning and execution, including developing and managing comprehensive audit programs. Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to company policies and external standards. Experience in identifying, documenting, and managing control deficiencies and process improvements. Ability to lead and mentor audit teams, fostering professional development and accountability. Skilled in advanced data analysis and evaluation of control effectiveness to support risk mitigation.
