Who You Are Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Develops the logic design, register transfer level (RTL) coding, and simulation for a CPU required to generate cell libraries, functional units, and the CPU IP block for integration in full chip designs. Participates actively in the definition of architecture and microarchitecture features of the CPU being designed. Applies various strategies, tools, and methods to write RTL and optimize logic to qualify the design to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals as well as design integrity for physical implementation. Reviews the verification plan and implementation to ensure design features are verified correctly and resolves and implements corrective measures for failing RTL tests to ensure correctness of features. Documents micro architectural specs (MAS) of the CPU features being designed. Supports SoC customers to ensure high quality integration of the CPU block. Qualifications: You must possess the minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar with 3+ years of experience described below -OR- a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar with 2+ years of experience. 3+ years of work experience programming/scripting skills in Perl or Python or C/C++. 3+ years of work experience with one or more of the following: Hardware description languages (Verilog, System Verilog) and RTL/Validation tools (VCS, Questasim etc) Software engineering, Dev-Ops, machine-learning. 3+ years of work experience independently debugging complex cross-domain problems (RTL, software tools, IT). 3+ years of work experience Linux including shell scripting (e.g. csh, bash) Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of design automation experience with mix of software and hardware skills suitable for the design and debug of state-of-the-art microprocessors. This includes experience with System verilog and VCS as well as Python, Perl programming languages.
