The expected salary range for this position is $96,000 - $141,000 depending on experience ***NO STAFFING AGENCY CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION*** ***Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future*** Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture is the company selected to execute construction of the Manhattan Jail Project in New York. Tutor Perini O&G JV is seeking a Project Engineer to join the project in Manhattan, NY About Manhattan Jail Project Extraordinary Projects, Exceptional Performance The $3.8B project scope includes design and construction of a new state-of-the-art facility that will have dedicated space for on-site services and programming, indoor and outdoor recreation, food services, staff offices and facilities, amenities, below-grade accessory parking, and a secured entry. The new facility will contain 1,040 beds and provide 125 accessory parking spaces below grade for all staff and service providers. In addition, the facility will provide 20,000 square feet of community and commercial space on the ground floor. Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent DESCRIPTION: As a Project Engineer at Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture., reporting to the Project Manager you will have the opportunity to: Inspects construction site daily and works with contractors to schedule deliveries. Demonstrates understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within construction field Interprets designs and drawings for crafts installing materials and qualifications Research and resolves drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference, and errors Prepares field design change requisitions and as built drawings, as required Prepares and disseminates all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc., to supervisor Verifies that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications Reviews and comments on viability of design as required. Conducts value engineering functions Attends meetings with other contractors, clients, or A/E representatives to coordinate design and construction efforts Provides necessary building control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials or equipment Demonstrates a working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline Observes construction work performed in the field Creates and processes RFIs Participates in job walks and documents and reports findings Understands companys quality control plan and takes weekly photos to document any quality control issues Researches and proposes solutions to quality control issues Generates queries and reports in Procore software Responsible for the review and maintenance of Quality Assurance/Quality Control Policies and Procedures Understands company safety program and participates in safety inspections Creates specification checklists Review submittals against specifications. Understands subcontractor job specifications and scope of work Reviews mock-up and/or shop drawings and specifications Possess the ability to attend meetings and transcribe detailed meeting minutes clearly, precisely, and accurately Demonstrates schedule understanding in coordination with construction logistics and construction sequencing Understands Change Management process and minimal ability in identifying change event Performs quantity takeoffs Understands construction scheduling in coordination with construction logistics and sequencing REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related from an accredited institution and 5+ years of relevant experience with construction projects in the NYC metro area valued at 150 million or more Ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks and assignments Performs work tasks by receiving direction and then working independently with an interest in quickly learning and applying new skills and abilities Working knowledge of Prolog or similar software Working knowledge of blueprint reading required Working knowledge of scheduling and estimating software Knowledge of CAD 2000 or CAD 3-D is knowledge of CAD 2000 or CAD 3-D is desired Intermediate knowledge of Windows Office Systems; particularly in Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc Excellent written and verbal skills OUR MISSION We build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.
