Veterinary Assistant - Family Pet Hospital Join our amazing team! Vacaville, California The hourly pay rate for this position is $18.00-22.00 per hour based on experience, certifications, licensure, education, and location. Family Pet Hospital is a long-standing general practice hospital with deep ties to the community, located in beautiful Vacaville, California. Our goal is to provide compassionate and quality medicine while striving to make an impact in our community and treat our patients/clients like family. Who We're Looking For We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented person who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience taking patient histories, drawing and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, and understanding the importance of client education. We strive to give our customers the best personalized service possible and to create a friendly, professional work environment for our awesome staff! We are open Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We schedule our technicians for full days, or half days with morning or afternoon shifts (8:30 AM - 1 PM or 1 PM - 5:30 PM). We are looking for both part-time and full-time assistants and are happy to work with students' schedules. Requirements Experience with proper animal handling and restraint Part-time requirement: Availability for 2 full days, or multiple half-day shifts Full-time requirement: Availability for 4 full day shifts 1+ years of veterinary experience (required) Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Passion for working with animals and their owners Excellent communication and organizational skills Benefits We Offer Your well-being matters to us.
