Pay: $72800 - $93600 / year (paid hourly) Schedule: M - F; day shift (on-call approximately 1 week / month) Location: Corvallis, OR | HP campus Department: Facilities Management / Engineering Services Reports To: Chief Engineer / Facilities Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our facilities management team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across commercial real estate properties to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable building operations. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Operations Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, motors, and control systems Conduct routine inspections of electrical equipment, panels, transformers, and emergency systems Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and building standards Troubleshooting & Repair Diagnose electrical problems using testing equipment (multimeters, signal generators, etc) Repair or replace faulty electrical components, wiring, and equipment Respond to emergency electrical issues and power outages Coordinate with utility companies during power restoration activities Project Support Assist with electrical system upgrades and installations Support tenant improvement projects and electrical modifications Review electrical drawings and specifications Coordinate with contractors and vendors on electrical work Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and local electrical codes Participate in safety programs and training initiatives Prepare reports on system performance and recommendations Required Qualifications Education & Certification Valid electrical license in the state of Oregon (Journeyman, Plant Journeyman or LME) High School Diploma or equivalent required EPA certification and other relevant certifications a plus Experience 3+ years of commercial electrical experience Experience with building automation systems (BAS) preferred Knowledge of HVAC electrical controls and systems Familiarity with emergency power systems and generators Technical Skills Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, local codes) Experience with electrical testing equipment Basic computer skills and CMMS software experience Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints Physical Requirements Ability to work in various environments (mechanical rooms, rooftops, confined spaces) Capability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working at heights and in tight spaces Manual dexterity for detailed electrical work Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation Location: On-site Corvallis, OR If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you dont meet all the requirements.
