Learn about our company culture directly from our team. YOU As a material handler, you will be responsible for maintaining the flow of materials throughout the department in Packaging. This position works 1st shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00 am 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed. WHAT YOULL BE DOING (% of Time) You will mainly be responsible for the flow of material in, and out of the department. (70%) You will be responsible for staging bins/wire for nail and screw mfg. (15%) You will be responsible for accurately locating all products removed from the department in the designated rack. (10%) You will be responsible for checking and ensuring that all counts are correct on raw and finished goods that are taken from the department. (5%) DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, youve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too: Problem-Solving- In this position, there will be occasions where you have to make on-the-spot decisions. 6 months-Forklift/Reach- truck experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment and needs to constantly position self to maintain the operation of equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment. WORK ENVIRONMENT Regularly works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level is loud. The job may risk exposure to dust, heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions. TRAVEL REQUIRED This job requires no domestic travel. WORK STATUS & LOCATION This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Gallatin, TN. RELOCATION Relocation is not available for this position.
