Work Experience: Entry-Level (Foundational) Work Experience Description: Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses. Department Name Retail Sales Position Scope Sells and promotes PCC products to guests visiting the various retail sales locations while maintaining a clean attractive work area. Achieves sales goals on a consistent basis. Applies quality customer service concepts and practices when processing, exchanging or upgrading guests purchases. Interacts with guests by answering questions and addressing concerns. Requirements Must have a good knowledge of the various activities and services provided at the Polynesian Cultural Center and excellent customer service skills. Must be in good health and be capable of a full range of body movement and lift 25-50lbs on a regular basis. Must be fluent in the English language in both written and oral communication. Fluency in a foreign language is highly desirable but not required. Must know how to use a personal computer. Should be a high school graduate or the equivalent. Previous sales experience highly desirable. Must exemplify the University Honor Code, including the dress and grooming principles and expectations. Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks.
