Position: Assistant or Associate Professor Faculty Position in Psychology Faculty Unit: Faculty of Sciences Program: Psychology Closing Date: Review of applications will begin October 1 Job Type: Full-time Job Category: Faculty Status: Open Qualifications: A doctorate in Psychology or closely related field is required. Foreign equivalent degree from a nationally accredited institution accepted. As an educational institution affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Church), BYUHawaii prefers to hire qualified members of the Church in good standing, as authorized under 41 C.F.R. § 60-1.5 (a)(6). To be eligible for employment, applicants who are members of the Church must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend and receive a clearance from the Churchs Ecclesiastical Clearance Office. Responsibilities: Teaching requirement is typically 30 semester credit hours per year over three semesters in some (but not necessarily all) of the following subject areas/courses: General Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Quantitative Research Methods, Qualitative Research Methods, Statistics; among others. Scholarship, creative endeavor, ongoing professional development, and university service are required. BYU-Hawaiis primary focus is undergraduate learning and teaching. The individual should be fully committed to the universitys mission (https://about.byuh.edu/mission.html) and learning framework (https://clt.byuh.edu/framework-for-learning). Benefits: Salary range: 117K-127K, depending on credentials, rank and experience. Housing stipend. A relocation expense package is provided. Annually renewable contract eligible for Continuing Faculty Status (BYU-H equivalent of tenure-track). Standard BYU-Hawaii benefits package for regular full-time employees.
