What We Offer This is an on-call position, which means it is a part-time, hourly role. This position will work no more than 39 hours per week. The expected hiring range for this position is $21.26/hour - $23.92/hour, based on experience, and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denvers 457b retirement plan. This position is not eligible for other additional benefits. Oncall positions may have routine or variable work schedules. Our team of devoted professionals enrich the lives of people with disabilitiesby developing physical, mental, emotional, social and leisure skills necessary toparticipate in a continuum of activities that will enhance their well-being. Adaptive Recreation programming utilizes the Denver Parks & Recreation department's expansive network of facilities, parks and amenities to provide a wide variety of adaptive programming and year-roundtraining in Special Olympics sports. As an Administrative Support Assistant supporting the Adaptive Recreation Team, you will: ·Promote and demonstrate a high level of customer service by listening and responding to customer feedback in a timely and courteous manner through phone, email, and in-person interactions ·Collaborate with Recreation Therapists to identify and address administrative needs for the Adaptive Recreation Program Area ·Assist with Adaptive Recreation program registration and address registration requests from customers, as needed ·Organize inventory, track assets, and purchase supplies and equipment for program area ·Travel between, deliver supplies, and provide administrative support at recreation centers as needed ·Monitor and manage email communications, send follow-up emails, develop and maintain a tracking system, and conduct post-program follow-ups with staff and families for Inclusion Support Services ·Organize and maintain program participant records and attendance ·Ensure timely collection and management of medical forms to maintain compliance with Special Olympics ·Reach out to organizations to recruit volunteers, create and maintain a contact list, and track volunteer schedules and clearance ·Conduct reminder calls, recruit participants for programs, provide informational support for excursions and special events through emails or calls ·Perform other related duties as assigned or requested What Youll Bring We are looking for a dedicated and passionate administrative professional who can function effectively on a team in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics: Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, including experience addressing customer communications via email, phone, and in-person Excellent organizational skills Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs Required Minimum Qualifications Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate. Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of clerical experience. Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement.
