As a Power Engineer, a typical day might include the following: Develop an understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor and control the power system. Become familiar with SEL's protection, monitor and control practices. Develop, analyze, and execute functional tests under the mentorship of experienced engineers. Document, analyze and communicate test results using appropriate avenue. Review data sheets, instruction manuals, design and testing documentation, and provide feedback to experienced engineers. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
