Technician, General Facilities Maintenance – Journeyman Plumber

Position Summary... What you'll do... Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians! You will make an impact as a maintenance technician by diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support our Walmart stores! You will be responsible to develop preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned PMs in the timeframe outlined, as well as conduct training for Store Associates regarding care and cleaning of equipment. What Youll Do: Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs, etc.) Youll sweep us off your feet if you: Have previous experience in maintenance (including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment, etc.) Understand the importance of Customer Service and have clear, transparent, and respectful communication Drive personal accountability and use effective time management to achieve commitments Can adapt to changing and competing demands using solid judgment to identify priorities Believe in Servant Leadership and can work as a team to achieve goals Minimum Qualifications: 3 years' experience in maintenance Hold a valid state-issued drivers license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet. The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00-$35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Minimum Qualifications... Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures in commercial buildings. Diagnose and repair drain line clogs using augers, hydro jetting, and other drain-cleaning equipment. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and recommend solutions to reduce future plumbing issues. Troubleshoot plumbing problems in restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, and utility areas. Repair and replace sinks, toilets, urinals, faucets, water heaters, and backflow devices. Interpret and apply Arkansas Plumbing Code (2018) and applicable U.S. plumbing standards. Collaborate with facility managers, contractors, and supervisors to ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule. Complete detailed work orders, service reports, and document repairs performed. Follow OSHA and company safety policies, maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Provide emergency on-call plumbing services as required. Qualifications Valid Journeyman Plumber License Arkansas Minimum 35 years of plumbing experience, with emphasis on commercial repair and maintenance. Proven ability to diagnose and clear drain line clogs (26 lines preferred). Strong understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and blueprint reading. Experience with hydro jetting equipment, video inspection cameras, and pipe locators a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. Valid drivers license and clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications...
