Posted Job Title Athletic Operations Assistant - Temporary Job Profile Title Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt Job Description Summary The Athletics Operations Assistant provides support to Athletic Operations within the Department of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Pennsylvania. This position will primarily work night and weekend shifts supervising evening programming and facilities and supporting any athletic or business development event operation needs. This position will take directions from multiple supervisors, the Director of Game Operations and the Assistant Director of Athletic Operations. Job Description Responsibilities Serve as primary or secondary event manager of home athletic and business development events as assigned. Manage setup & breakdown of all home athletic competitions or business development events. Provide area facility supervision of Franklin Field, the Palestra, Penn Park, River Fields Complex, & the Tse Sports Center. Oversee evening & weekend programming and work study staff in assigned areas. Perform Operations administrative work as assigned by one of the Supervisors. Perform tasks related to game management when necessary (clock/scoreboard operation, PA announcer, ball runner, play music, ticket scanning, etc.) Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: A bachelors or masters degree candidate in Sports Management, Recreation, or related field. Bachelors degree preferred. Previous experience in a collegiate athletics & recreation department desired, preferably in event operations or customer service. Must possess strong oral communication skills and be self-motivated to accomplish tasks on your own. Ability to work nights and weekends. Ability to lift 30 lbs. Must possess a valid drivers license. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Division of Recreation & Intercollegiate Athletics Pay Range $7.25 - $15.00 Hourly Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidates qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the jobs level.
