As a Senior Product Designer, you will help shape the future of digital health through thoughtful, human-centered design that impacts millions of people globally. This role supports design across early-stage innovation and established products, taking ideas from 0 to 1 while also evolving experiences at scale across Abbotts connected biowearable ecosystem, spanning physical and digital platforms. You will work across the full design lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and prototyping new concepts to delivering polished product experiences for mobile that drive measurable user and business outcomes. You thrive in ambiguous problem spaces and apply systems thinking to design cohesive solutions across a connected product ecosystem. Operating with ownership, you will collaborate closely with product, engineering, research, and business leaders to create intuitive designs that translate complex health data into meaningful, actionable experiences for people managing diabetes. This role is remote, with regular travel to Alameda, CA for team collaboration, workshops, and leadership alignment. What youll do Lead the end-to-end design process for new mobile products, from early-stage concepts to final delivery, iterating based on feedback and research. Design cohesive experiences across physical devices and digital platforms, ensuring seamless interactions across the full product ecosystem. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that clearly communicate and test design ideas, balancing user needs with business goals. Collaborate directly with customers to ensure designs are rooted in real-world user needs and behaviors, enhancing the overall experience. Use storytelling to connect user needs with business outcomes and influence product strategy. Define and maintain scalable design systems that ensure consistency across various product touchpoints. Work closely with UX researchers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists to translate insights and data into meaningful experiences. Elevate the design teams craft by leading critiques, collaborative sessions, and fostering a culture of excellence and learning. Required Qualifications 6+ years of experience in UX design, product design, or a related field Bachelors degree in Design, Human Factors, or a related discipline A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end, user-centered design solutions across desktop and mobile devices Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma Preferred Qualifications Experience designing holistic, end-to-end consumer product experiences, that deliver measurable user and business impact. Strong visual design sensibility and the ability to craft polished, intuitive interfaces aligned with brand and usability standards Experience bringing products from 0 to 1, guiding concepts from early explorations to product-market fit through rapid iteration. Curiosity for design, technology, and emerging tools, with a mindset of continuously evolving your craft (including AI-enabled workflows). A relentless focus on understanding and addressing the real needs of users, with a knack for translating complex information into clear, elegant user flows. Expertise in usability and accessibility, ensuring every design is inclusive and functional for all. Strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to clearly articulate design rationale and influence stakeholders. Experience building and expanding design systems and scalable component libraries, ensuring a cohesive visual language across all product surfaces. Experience designing for healthcare or other complex, regulated industries The base pay for this position is $113,300.00 $226,700.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
