Residential Landscape Sales Representative Location: Sykesville MD Planted Earth is a high-end residential landscape construction company serving Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. Our firm partners with leading custom home builders, architects, and landscape architects to deliver finely crafted outdoor environments. From detailed hardscapes to refined plantings and outdoor living spaces, we specialize in executing complex landscape projects with precision, professionalism, and exceptional client service. The Landscape Salesperson is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with builders, architects, and homeowners while managing the bidding and sales process for residential landscape projects. This role involves interpreting construction documents, preparing detailed and accurate estimates, and presenting competitive, high-quality proposals. The ideal candidate combines technical estimating expertise with a polished, client-facing demeanor suited to the luxury residential market. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Client Relationships Develop and maintain strong relationships with custom home builders, architects, and landscape architects. Identify and pursue new bid opportunities within the luxury residential market. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the bidding and proposal process. Prepare and deliver professional, detailed proposals in a timely manner. Estimating & Proposal Development Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements. Conduct site visits to verify conditions and gather necessary field data. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and material supplier quotes. Prepare accurate take-offs, cost estimates, and scope clarifications. Work with project management and operations teams to ensure estimates align with production capabilities and budgets. Collaboration & Handoff Participate in pre-bid meetings, value engineering discussions, and proposal presentations. Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure smooth project transition after the job is award. Maintain accurate records of bids, awarded projects, and pricing data within the companys CRM or estimating system. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in landscape estimating or sales for high-end residential or commercial landscape construction. Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and landscape construction plans. Strong understanding of landscape materials, construction methods, and installation sequencing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with high-end clientele and design professionals. Proficiency with Excel, estimating software (e.g., Aspire, LMN, or similar), and CRM tools. Bachelors degree in Landscape Construction, Horticulture, Business, or related field preferred. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
