This individual will provide software engineering functions for the design, development, and maintenance of complex, multi-tiered application software systems used to support the command and control of space vehicles. The software engineer will work day-to-day with system and test engineers in order to implement, test, and document new features and improvements for both web services and applications supporting distributed computing solutions. Develop software in conjunction with agile team leadership including participation at agile events. Assist in the execution of DevSecOps processes in order to deliver software baseline on sprint boundaries. Participate in PI planning as an agile team member. Engage with users and other engineers to determine solutions to technical issues. Position Responsibilities: Supports the design, development, test, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the Agile lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards Supports development, documentation and maintenance of architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products in a Windows operating system environment Supports debugging and resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products Interface with the user community for troubleshooting technical issues, user feedback, and future, design concepts Supports implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development Supports execution and documentation of software research and development projects Interface with the integration and test team to inform execution This position is hybrid. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): 2+ years of experience with software development and design 2+ years of experience in a Windows based operating system 2+ years of experience with software configuration management tools (e.g. Bitbucket, Git) and problem/issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps)? 2+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud environment Experience with HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, Javascript Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
