Assistant Manager Last Mile Operations Location: Phoenix, AZ Shift: TuesdaySaturday, 11:00 AM 7:30 PM We Are Maersk At Maersk, we are transforming the future of logistics by connecting and simplifying global supply chains. As an Assistant Manager Last Mile Operations, you will play a critical role supporting site leadership and ensuring seamless day-to-day execution. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will act as a trusted partner to the Site Manager and step in to lead operations independently when needed. Role Summary In this role, you will serve as the Site Managers right hand, owning the second shift operation and ensuring smooth execution across delivery returns, customer service, and team performance. You will lead with confidence, manage escalations, and maintain operational excellenceespecially during end-of-day processes when drivers return and key logistics activities take place. What We Offer Competitive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off and Employee Assistance Program Opportunities for leadership development and career growth within Maersk Exposure to end-to-end last mile operations in a dynamic environment Key Responsibilities Lead second-shift site operations, ensuring smooth execution of daily logistics activities Oversee driver returns, including receiving, labeling, and routing returned goods into trailers Manage shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and customer-related escalations Dispatch trucks using GPS systems and monitor delivery performance Supervise on-site teams, including Customer Service Representatives and Routers Maintain operational reports, performance metrics, and customer service scores Act as the primary decision-maker during shift, closing the building and ensuring all processes are completed Who We Are Looking For We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who are motivated to grow into leadership roles and take ownership of operations.
