Dietary Cook (Part-Time) San Bruno Skilled Nursing is looking for a skilled and passionate Dietary Cook to join our culinary team! If you have experience in healthcare-focused kitchens and a commitment to food safety and quality, we want to meet you. Position Details Pay Rate: $22.50 $24.00 per hour Schedule: Part-Time | Saturday & Sunday (16 hours total) Shift: AM Shift (5:30 am 2:00 pm) Start Date: Late May 2026 The Role As a Dietary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals according to established recipes and specific dietary guidelines. You play a vital role in the health of our residents by ensuring every meal is prepared safely and presented beautifully. Essential Duties Prepare meals in strict adherence to standardized recipes and resident dietary restrictions. Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization. Follow technical procedures for food preparation and equipment use. Communicate effectively with management and staff to ensure seamless meal service. Maintain availability for weekend shifts, with the flexibility to provide extra weekday help if needed. Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates must possess: Experience: Proven cooking experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), hospital, restaurant, or hotel. (Healthcare experience is highly preferred). Proficiency: Ability to read technical procedures and follow specific recipes without direct supervision. Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to professionally respond to inquiries from staff and managers. Certification: A valid Food Handlers Card.
