Location: 2078 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 VCA Knapps Corner Animal Hospital is adding a Licensed Veterinary Technician to our growing Patient Care Team! Schedule: Full- time opportunity, typical scheduled hours: 7:30 am- 6 pm. Compensation: $ 20 - 27/hr, and the starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Snapshot of the Role: Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Technician or recent veterinary technician graduate, we want you to use the knowledge that youve invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: Collecting patient histories and performing physical exams. IVC placement and venipuncture Surgery Prep, monitoring anesthesia and postoperative care of the patient (recovery) Dentals and dental radiographs Maintain patient records Client education and communication Perform and assist with diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures. Administer medications, vaccinations, and other prescribed treatments. Collaborate with veterinarians, fellow veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
